Imaging technology advances at Mercer Health continue with the installation of the Luminos Agile Max, a patient-side fluoroscopy system that brings proactive support and comprehensive imaging technology. The digital equipment offers safer use with height-adjustable table, stronger synergies with dual use in radiography and fluoroscopy and sharper imaging with a MAX dynamic flat detector and unique Siemens CARE features.
“Nearly all of our radiology equipment has been replaced in the past three years. Newer equipment is important as it uses less radiology per image allowing for less risk to the patient and it provides better imaging technology including digital imaging for a quicker and better diagnosis.” states Sara Bruening, Director of Imaging Services at Mercer Health.
“The radiology services we provide here are state-of-the-art, the same as what you could get in a Columbus hospital.” shares George Boyles, CFO of Mercer Health.
Mercer Health’s commitment to providing quality, state-of-the-art healthcare to the local community has been reinforced with recent implementation of several new pieces of radiology equipment including the Luminos Agile Max, in addition to a new Digital Radiology exam room and Siemens Ysio digital radiography system and the Mobilett XP portable X-ray machine. Furthermore, Mercer Health was the first to offer digital radiology in the local area.
Mercer Health’s Radiology Department is accredited by the American College of Radiology in MRI, Ultrasound and Mammography – assuring quality care for patients.
