In addition to our many specialized outpatient services, we provide inpatient care for patients of all ages with a range of care needs at Mercer Health’s Mercer County Community Hospital.
Medical/Surgical Care provides inpatient nursing care to our general patient population with a variety of diagnoses from surgery recovery to care for illness or injury.
Intensive Care is specially designated for the short-term care of critically ill patients needing constant observation. Our specially trained staff is equipped with skills and technology to provide specialty inpatient care for those who need it most.
To encourage a healing environment, we may ask to limit the number of visitors and the amount of time with the patient. Children under 12 may visit if accompanied by an adult.
Telemetry Care provides continuous monitoring for patients that require care after a heart attack or when a seriously ill patient is at risk of developing complications.
Our pediatric healthcare experts specialize in caring for the medical needs of children. Our pediatric inpatient team works closely with our pediatricians and treats common childhood conditions, like infectious and respiratory illnesses, cares for injuries and helps patients recovering after surgery.
At Mercer Health, we take a comprehensive approach to the childbirth process—from extensive patient education and support, to our state-of-the-art LDRP rooms, our Childbirth Center is here to provide the best care possible to mother and baby.

The West Wing Expansion, which opened in October 2018, would not have been possible without the generous support of Tom Sanderell.
Mr. Sanderell, a life-long resident of Fort Recovery, provided inspiration and seed money for this project. Lisa Klenke, CEO of Mercer Health states, “Mr. Sanderell’s generosity and his family’s legacy will live on in the lives of every baby born at Mercer Health, every family who has a loved one needing acute hospital services, and each patient who has a surgical procedure that cures and illness – thanks to his significant donation to Mercer Health’s West Wing Expansion.”
