Surgical Weight Loss Program

Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy

Mercer Health’s Center for Healthy Weight and Wellness surgical weight loss option is a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, a restrictive weight loss procedure that creates a thin, vertical sleeve of the stomach. A sleeve gastrectomy reduces the stomach to the size and shape of a banana, and the rest of the stomach is removed. This surgery creates a smaller stomach, limiting the amount of food you can eat and helping you feel fuller sooner.

To assist you in your surgical journey, a comprehensive program and a team of dedicated staff are available to guide you through the entire process. We also offer a monthly support group to our patients for additional education and support before and after surgery.
