The Mercer Health Volunteer Association is now accepting applications for a scholarship program launching this year for current or past Mercer Health volunteers and current employees.  In addition, applicants must be accepted into a college with plans to pursue a career in any field represented at Mercer Health. This includes any clinical or patient care fields and non-clinical fields such as accounting/finance, human resources, information technology, maintenance/plant operations, marketing and more.

The $1500 scholarship will be awarded based on academic, work and volunteer experience. ACT score, GPA and class rank are not required and will not be considered, but applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher, college instructor or Mercer Health supervisor.  Special consideration will be given to students who plan to eventually return to the area and enter the workforce.

Online applications are being accepted now through June 1. The recipient selected to receive the scholarship will be notified by August 1.
