Despite the cancellation of the Mercer Health Charity Ball, the organization hosted the annual Reverse Corvette Raffle on November 20. Jeff Otte of Maria Stein won the 2021 Shadow Gray Metallic Corvette Stingray Coupe with ticket #567.

From Monday, November 15, through Friday, November 19, 150 tickets were pulled daily by Moorman, Harting & Co., the business that both sponsors and supervises the raffle. Those tickets were announced each day on Mercer Health’s Facebook. Beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, the final 250 tickets were drawn in real time with updates shared on Facebook each half hour. At 9:30 p.m., the winner was drawn and announced live.

“We sold out Corvette tickets in a record amount of time this year,” Deb Hemmelgarn, Director of the MED Foundation and event chairperson, said. “On behalf of the MED Foundation, we extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who purchased tickets, to the individuals and businesses who help sell the tickets and to the committee for organizing another successful event!”

Ryan Bollenbacher of St. Henry was also a winner during the event—as the first ticket drawn, he won a vacation to Myrtle Beach donated by raffle sponsor iHeart Radio.

The MED Foundation wishes to recognize Tailspin Brewing Co. for hosting the live event, Dr. Ed Hosbach for being the emcee for the evening, Moorman, Harting & Co. for supervising the raffle and Tom Hendricks with Bud’s Chevrolet for his continued support.

The 2022 Charity Ball and Corvette Raffle is scheduled for November 19, 2022. Corvette raffle tickets will be available beginning July 1.
