Mercer Health’s Mercer County Community Hospital recently received an A rating from The Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Grade Spring 2019 survey. The designation recognizes Mercer Health’s efforts in protecting patients from harm and meeting the highest safety standards in the United States. The Safety Grade assigns an A, B, C, D or F grade to hospitals across the country based on their performance in preventing medical errors, infections and other harms among patients in their care.
"An 'A' grade from The Leapfrog Group is the gold standard for patient safety and a huge achievement," Lisa Klenke, Mercer Health CEO, said.
According to The Leapfrog Group, “The Safety Grade rates hospitals on the very basics of medical care, such as handwashing, entering prescriptions through a computer, and the availability of highly-trained nurses. So no matter the reason for a hospital visit, safety should be your number one concern.”
Mercer Health’s Mercer County Community Hospital was one of 832 hospitals across the United States awarded an A in Spring 2019.
