The MED Foundation of Mercer Health held its annual Healing Garden ceremony on May 27 at Mercer County Community Hospital. Each year during the ceremony, pavers are dedicated in honor or in memory of community members and families. Pavers engraved with the following messages were added to the therapeutic space located just outside of the Sanderell Family West Wing:

During this year’s Healing Garden ceremony, Deb Hemmelgarn, MED Foundation Director, announced the foundation’s 2020 Outstanding Friends of the Year—Dolores and the late Mauri Cron of Coldwater. The Crons are longtime friends and supporters of Mercer Health, the MED Foundation and the entire community.

“In addition to being Friends of the Foundation for more than 10 years, the Crons were members of the Promise Club in support of the Building on a Promise Campaign in support of the Sanderell Family West Wing,” Hemmelgarn said. “Mauri and Dolores’s contribution to Mercer Health, the MED Foundation and to our entire community has truly been a blessing and will benefit future generations for years to come.”

Most recently, Dolores selected the MED Foundation of Mercer Health as the recipient for memorial donations made following the untimely death of her husband, Mauri.
