Ever Heart Hospice, with locations in Coldwater and Greenville, Ohio and Winchester, Indiana recently recognized several Mercer Health staff for their commitment to quality, compassionate care in the communities and organizations they serve.
Ann Clune and Kathy Brackman, Licensed Social Workers at Mercer Health, were recently awarded the Golden Heart Outstanding Social Worker Award from Ever Heart Hospice. Part of their nomination read, “They work together as the perfect team and they excel individually. They recently went above and beyond to ensure a patient that was requesting to receive the Eucharist could do so. They both understand the importance of the entire person’s health – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.”
Jenny Conn, Director of Emergency Services and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator at Mercer Health, also received an award from Ever Heart Hospice, the Golden Heart Front Line Hero Award. Jenny’s nomination for the award read, “In addition to Jenny’s responsibilities overseeing the emergency services at Mercer Health, she has served as the Planning Section Chief for the COVID pandemic overseeing incident operations and assigned resources, development of alternatives for tactical operations and directing of all planning meetings. To say that Jenny has a stressful job is putting it very lightly. Also, less than a year prior to the onset of COVID, Jenny and her family lost their home during the Celina tornado in 2019. As COVID began to take over our community, Jenny and her family were still rebuilding their home. It has been a very long and stress-filled years for Jenny but yet she handles herself with the upmost professionalism.”
