Mercer County Community Hospital’s first baby of the year was born on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. A baby boy born to Rutha Anitak and Jimi Briand of Celina arrived at 10:35 a.m., weighing 5 pounds, 14.6 ounces and measuring 18 inches long. He was welcomed by his parents and a big brother and sister.

The family received multiple gifts including a fresh 48 photography session by Beth Fortkamp, a Mercer Health blanket, a gift card from The Gift Shop at Mercer Health and additional items.
